Today, after 4 days of discussions, the second public inquiry into the proposed 17th storey Purley Tower concluded.

As you will be aware, HADRA are one of the 7 local Residents' Associations who are formally objecting to these plans and we were represented at this week's inquiry by our current Chairman, Lee Cooper and HADRA's Chairman at the time of the initial inquiry, Diane Hearne.  Also present were Phil Thomas (Riddlesdown RA) and Charlie King (East Coulsdon RA).

For your reading pleasure, we have reproduced below the joint Residents' Associations opening statement delivered earlier in the week and our joint closing statement which was delivered this morning.

As the public inquiry has now closed, it is just a case of waiting until the Secretary of State delivers their decision.
