We have been made aware that another plan for this site has been submitted to Croydon Council, following the withdrawal of the previous planning application.

Planning Application 19/03003/FUL proposes to demolish the 5 bedroom detached house and erect a three storey building comprising of 1 no. 1 bedroom flats, 7 no. 2 bedroom flats and 1 no. three bedroom flat to demolish the house at 2 Coulsdon Road and build a development consisting of 9 apartments (1 x 3 bed, 5 x 2 bed and 3 x 1 bed), provision of car and cycle parking and refuse storage.

The site occupies the corner of Petersfield Road, Stoats Nest Road and Coulsdon Road and is triangular in shape.

Coulsdon Road is higher than Petersfield Crescent by approximately 3.5 metres and the proposed development suggests that due to the change in levels, two separate entrance points will be required for pedestrian and vehicular access.  Access would be maintained from Coulsdon Road, but additionally, access from Petersfield Crescent is proposed also, introducing dropped kerbs for the parking and pedestrian paths and gates.

According to the supplementary information on the planning application, none of the 9 units being proposed will be for affordable housing and the plans of the development indicate it will look similar to this:
